"Familiarisation Programmes for Directors 2025-26"

“As a part of familiarisation programmes for newly inducted Directors, a presentations was made to Shri Ashok Aseri and Shri Aashish Chaturvedi, Independent Directors/BHEL on April 25th, 2025, at BHEL HOUSE, New Delhi-110049. The program interalia covered the following topics: 
 
•    Historical background, Company Profile and brief overview
•    Financial Performance – Last 5 years
•    Organisation Structure
•    Contribution to strategic and Core Sectors of the economy
•    A leader in Indian power sector – concept to commissioning
•    Transportation Business, Defence & Aerospace, Transmission and other renewable business
•    All India Presence: Major Manufacturing Units
•    Global footprints
•    Coal Gasification, Clean Coal Initiatives, Green Hydrogen etc.
•    Important statutory & regulatory provisions under Companies Act, 2013, Listing (Obligation & Disclosure Requirements ) Regulations, 2015, DPE Guidelines and Secretarial Standards issued by Institute of Company Secretaries of India with emphasis on provisions concerning Directors.

The presentations were made on 25th April, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM.”

“Shri Ramesh Patlya Mawaskar, Independent Director (BHEL), visited BHEL Haridwar from 17.05.2025 to 19.05.2025.

During this period, he visited Block-1, Block-3 and New Blade Shop of HEEP plant. There, he was familiarized with different components of Generator and Turbine. The process of Turbine blade manufacturing facilities of BHEL Haridwar was explained to him. He was familiarized about the machining, testing & handling facilities for Large-Size Turbo Generator assemblies in Electrical Machines Shop. He appreciated 5S of the blocks, especially the underground push-rod chip conveyor system in New Blade Shop, which is contributing towards cleanliness of the Shop. He appreciated the fitting of blades in Turbine Rotors and dynamic balancing facility at Over Speed Balancing Tunnel (OSBT) with precision.

Shri Mawaskar interacted with the shop floor teams and motivated them to continue their new initiatives under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan of the GoI. He also commended the maintenance and upkeep of old machine tools.”
