Mr. B. Prasada Rao, CMD, BHEL, receiving the CII-ITC Sustainability Award 2012 from the Hon'ble President of India, Sh. Pranab Mukherjee. BHEL has bagged two of these prestigious awards for the year 2012. Instituted by the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development, the awards are presented annually to recognise and reward India's most sustainable companies. While one award was received by BHEL's Trichy unit, the other was bagged by the company's Electroporcelains Division at Bangalore. The units were awarded for Strong Commitment towards sustainability through adoption of approriate policy and procedures.
